Anointing of the Sick is the sacrament of healing by which the Church entrusts the sick to Christ, who entered into our suffering.  In this sacrament, the Lord desires to give salvation of the soul and resurrection of the Body.

The sacrament is not only for those in imminent danger of death, but also for the elderly, the very sick and those facing dangerous surgery.
